Our verdict

WaySpa suits gift-givers and treaters who want a spa day voucher that works in Canada and the US, and it has been trading since 2003. The trade-off is a narrow spa and gift card range with vouchers that are not exchangeable, so settle the date before you pay.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • One voucher works in Canada and the United States, both listed under CA and US, so a gift does not have to stay in the buyer's own market.
  • A phone line and a help centre sit behind the order, listed as phone and help centre, so a wrong booking or a treatment question has a stated route to an answer.
  • Founded in 2003, the marketplace has been running for a long stretch rather than a season, which matters for a gift that is redeemed months later.
  • The catalogue stays on spa days and gift cards, narrower than Jochen Schweizer's experience days, spa and driving but quicker to scan when the gift is simply a treatment.

Cons

  • Exchangeable is a no in the terms, so a voucher cannot be swapped for another treatment, a different spa or a later date once it is bought.
  • Support runs on phone and help centre only, with no email or live chat route listed, so an urgent question leans on the phone line.
  • Vouchers are built for CA and US, so a buyer in another country has no local spa in the range to redeem against.

Who it suits

  • People buying a spa day as a gift for someone in Canada or the US who would rather ring than email a support desk.
  • Couples and families after a single present rather than a subscription, since the range is spa days and gift cards.
  • Anyone happy to fix the date early, because WaySpa vouchers are not exchangeable.

Who should look elsewhere

  • Buyers after a driving, adventure, food and drink or attraction day, since mydays lists experience days, spa and driving against a spa and gift card range here.
  • Readers who want every experience type in one place, since Jochen Schweizer covers experience days, spa and driving.
  • Shoppers pairing a spa day with a meal or an attraction, which DealToday covers through experience days, spa and food and drink.

Who runs it

WaySpa is run by Main Street Offers Inc. d/b/a WaySpa, a company headquartered in Canada that has been trading since 2003. What it sells is spa days and gift cards, so a purchase is a voucher redeemed at a participating spa rather than a course with a term to it. After the sale, phone and help centre are the stated routes for a booking query, a treatment detail or a redemption problem, which puts a phone call alongside the help centre. The name to check on a receipt is the trading entity, since that is who the voucher contract runs with.

Frequently asked questions

What does a WaySpa spa day cost?+

WaySpa sells spa days and gift cards, so the price sits with the voucher you choose and there is no renewal step to budget for later. Across the experience days brands in this comparison the median entry price is €13, with the spread running €6.50 at the lower end to €25.87 at the upper end.

How long does a WaySpa voucher stay valid?+

A voucher is bought with a validity window rather than an open balance. In this comparison the median validity across experience days brands is 12 months, with the spread running 12 months to 18 months, so book the treat inside that stretch.

Can I exchange or change a WaySpa voucher?+

Exchangeable is a no in the WaySpa terms, so a voucher stays as bought and is not swapped for another treatment, a different spa or a later date. If a recipient cannot make the booking, the route is phone and help centre to ask what the terms allow, rather than an exchange.

Which countries can I use a WaySpa voucher in?+

WaySpa lists CA and US as its markets, so a voucher is built for spas in Canada and the United States. The company behind it is headquartered in Canada and its catalogue is spa days and gift cards. Buyers in another country have no local spa in the range to redeem against.

Who runs WaySpa?+

WaySpa is run by Main Street Offers Inc. d/b/a WaySpa, a company based in Canada that has been trading since 2003. That entity is the one named on the terms, so it is worth checking before you pay when a booking later goes wrong and you need to know who to deal with.

How do I get help from WaySpa?+

phone and help centre are the listed support channels, so a phone call and the help centre are the two routes out. No email address or live chat is listed, which means an urgent question about a booking or a redemption depends on the phone line being answered.

What can I buy as a WaySpa gift?+

The catalogue is spa days and gift cards, which keeps the gift choice short: a treatment rather than a mixed basket. Compare that with Jochen Schweizer, whose range runs experience days, spa and driving, or mydays at experience days, spa and driving, where gifting spreads across many experience types.

Is WaySpa a good fit if I want a driving or attraction day?+

Not really, because the range stays on spa days and gift cards. For driving, adventure, food and drink or attraction days, mydays lists experience days, spa and driving and DealToday covers experience days, spa and food and drink, so those two are worth reading when the gift is not a spa day.
