Pros and cons
Appleyard
Pros
- Same day delivery is available, alongside next day delivery, so urgent gifts are covered.
- The range spans bouquets, letterbox flowers and plants, which means bouquets, plants, subscriptions and dried flowers sit in one basket.
- A 7 day freshness guarantee backs every order, and the return window is 14 days.
Cons
- Delivery adds £5.99 on top, so a £35.98 order is not the full outlay.
- The entry price of £35.98 places the brand toward the expensive end on price, at position 20 of 27.
- The catalogue runs in GB only, so buyers outside the UK cannot use it.
Arena Flowers
Pros
- Subscriptions sit in the range at bouquets, letterbox flowers and plants; Serenata Flowers covers bouquets, letterbox flowers and plants and no subscription line.
- Next day delivery is available with an order cutoff of 9pm, an option shared by 51.3% of brands tracked.
- Support runs on email, chat and phone, and phone alone reaches 62.8% of brands in the group.
Cons
- Same day delivery is not offered, so a last minute letterbox order travels on next day delivery instead.
- The freshness guarantee runs 5 days, while the site median sits at 7.
- Delivery is charged at £4.90 on top of a £28 entry price, so the headline figure is not the delivered total.
Who each suits
Appleyard
Who it suits
- UK shoppers sending a same day gift who also want plants or a subscription from the same seller.
- Buyers who care about cover on a flower order and read the 7 day freshness guarantee as the deciding factor.
- Gift buyers who need personalization and reach support on email, phone and help centre when something goes wrong.
Who should look elsewhere
- Fleurop buyers, who want a wider product list that already includes bouquets, plants and subscriptions if plants are not on their list.
- Serenata Flowers buyers who would rather start from a lower entry price than pay £5.99 on delivery.
- Blumenshop buyers looking outside the UK, since Appleyard's markets cover GB only.
Arena Flowers
Who it suits
- Shoppers who want the full bouquets, letterbox flowers and plants range settled in a single checkout rather than across separate shops.
- Gift senders in the United Kingdom, IE and IM who need next day delivery and personalization.
- Buyers who want help by more than email, since support runs on email, chat and phone.
Who should look elsewhere
- Dried flowers are the reason to pick Fleurop instead, since its range covers bouquets, plants and subscriptions.
- Readers who want a plants-led catalogue with no subscription line fit Blumenshop better, with bouquets, letterbox flowers and plants.
- Same day shoppers: Arena Flowers does not offer it, so a last minute gift waits for next day delivery.

Questions about each
Appleyard
What does a first Appleyard order cost?+
Bouquets start at £35.98, and delivery is charged on top at £5.99. The two figures sit together, so the amount you see on the shop is the start of the spend rather than the whole cost of getting flowers to the door. Larger arrangements push the total higher.
How fast can Appleyard deliver?+
Same day delivery is available, and next day delivery is offered as well, which covers planned as well as urgent orders. The same day option is the reason many buyers pick this seller over a florist that only offers a next day window.
Arena Flowers
How much does a flower order cost at Arena Flowers?+
Prices open at £28 for the lowest priced arrangements, and delivery is a separate £4.90. The entry price ranks 14 of 27 tracked brands, so it is a mid table starting point rather than the cheapest on the board. Add the delivery fee to any budget before comparing with another range.
Does Arena Flowers do same day delivery?+
Same day delivery is not offered. Next day delivery is available, with an order cutoff of 9pm, so an order placed before the cutoff can reach its recipient the following day. Across the brands tracked here, 52% offer same day delivery and 51.3% offer next day, which is why same day shoppers have a shorter list.
