Uncommon Goods review

The catalog covers hampers, gift boxes and personalized, so it is built around gift bundles rather than loose single items. Hampers and gift boxes take the larger and shared gifts, while personalized lines cover the ones that need something added. CEWE runs in a different direction, with gift boxes, personalized and photo gifts.

Yes, personalization is offered, and it is the main draw. The personalized part of the hampers, gift boxes and personalized range is where the catalog points when you want a name, message or date on the item. It is the clearest reason to pick this shop over a plain gift box seller.

Across the gift shops on this site the median entry price is €13.15, and the median in the hampers and gift boxes ranking is €10. That keeps the smaller items affordable for a stocking filler, while a full hamper costs more than the entry price. Budget for the product you pick.

Support runs on help centre only, so order questions go through the help centre rather than a phone line or live chat. That works if you are comfortable checking details yourself. Buyers who want to talk a gift through before paying are better served by a shop with phone support.

Not among the listed product types, which run to hampers, gift boxes and personalized. For a photo print on a physical item or a card to send, CEWE is the place to look, with gift boxes, personalized and photo gifts adding photo gifts, cards and gift cards. Jochen Schweizer also lists gift cards next to gift boxes, with gift boxes and gift cards.

The two overlap on the same ground, since Bourbon Concierge lists gift boxes and personalized, matching the gift box and personalized part of the hampers, gift boxes and personalized range. Uncommon Goods also lists hampers, so a shared food gift sits within this range. For a single boxed gift either catalog works.

It suits anyone buying a birthday, thank-you or anniversary gift who wants a name or a message on the box, since personalization is offered across the hampers, gift boxes and personalized range. It also suits shoppers who want hampers and gift boxes in a single place instead of mixing suppliers. If you need a photo product or a gift card, look elsewhere.
